I have had my Haan steam mop for 2 and a half yrs. I think it is great when working. I have city water did not use distilled water and now it no longer works. Unit gets hot but will not emit steam.

I have a steam iron that is 9 yrs old using the same water and no problem Can't understand why one would last and not the steam mop.

My answer:

The problem could be that you did not use distilled water and that made that your Haan mop gave out in the end.

It could be that there are minerals or even chemicals in your city water that gradually build up and clogged things up. If you are technically inclined take a look to see if this is the problem.

Without seeing your mop for myself it is really not possible to say more than this. I hope that you can somehow sort this out or even get yourself a new one.
